At Keller Williams, we do everything we can to take care of each other. When unforeseen adversities meet our associates, we provide a reliable safety net. KW Cares is a public charity created to support Keller Williams Realty associates and families who are faced with hardship as a result of sudden emergencies.
KW Cares grants have been used to rebuild homes, pay for life-saving medical procedures, and support wounded veterans. Since KW Cares is managed from within the KW family, we can respond more quickly and more thoroughly to our associates’ needs than many government programs, churches, and comparable non-profits.
KW Cares Stories
When KW associate Shelly Davis was diagnosed with cancer, she feared she would be unable to support her three children and ailing mother as her medical expenses piled up. KW Cares gave Shelly the money she needed to pay her medical bills. She has now made a full recovery and her three children continue to flourish.
Less than a month after joining KW, Joshua Matthews's riverfront home was severely flooded. Though his home endured more than 12 feet of water, he was declared ineligible for federal assistance by FEMA. KW Cares cut Joshua a check so he could rebuild his home.
KW associate Steve Warren was diagnosed with a deadly illness that left his wife Sheri as the sole provider for her two children. When Sheri found herself unable to pay Steve's medical expenses and support her children on her part-time salary, KW Cares provided her the money she needed to pay Steve's medical expenses. Then, KW Cares provided her financial assistance as she completed a nursing program that allowed her to qualify for a much higher-paying job. Today, she is a successful nurse and her children are well cared for--a fact that allowed Steve comfort in his final days.
